This cartoon illustrates 4 cars driving on a road and all exiting at different signs. The signs read, "left, right, far right, and out of sight right" . The car exiting at the "out of sight right" exit is a Rick Santorum supporting van. This is a play on Rick Santorum's excessive conservative ideology. Its ment to show that Rick Santorum is pretty much as conservative as it gets. I think the artist of theis cartoon is either a liberal or a conservative who is unhappy with Rick Santorum's methods. I beleive the artist may be a liberal because he's trying to show the complete ridiculousness of the conservative party's ideology and that people should'nt vote for people like Rick Santorum. This cartoon relates directley to the current Republican party primary race, as Rick Santorum is on of the candidates. This relates to our class discussion because we have studied the primary race closely and have looked at every candidate and their views. Satire is shown in this cartoon by representing the extreme views of Rick Santorum on the ideology spectrum. With this position Rick Santorum is likely to never become president because he is not balanced enough.
